Blurb
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends.
The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex.
Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.
Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.
They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.
Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.
My Review of Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
If you've read It ends with us, you'll know that Hoover is a genius when it comes to unputdownable romance stories that'll make you feel all your emotions in extremities.
In this spectacular book, Hoover makes us see and feel what love and pain are, through the eyes and minds of the main characters Miles and Tate.
When Tate finds Miles drunk and wasted in front of her brother Corbin's apartment one night, she doesn't know how much involved she would later be in the life of that 'drunk nuisance' standing in her way of smooth entrance.
But as much as the two keep getting involved in their lives, Tate realizes that whatever hit Miles in the past is way stronger than anything she has ever faced or fought.
But she wouldn't give up.
She wants in, to be in Miles' life, to know about his past, that terrible experience that turned him into what he presently is, but would she finally get everything she wants without biting a large chunk of pain? Would Miles give her the closure she desperately craves for?
In life, there are some pains you can never forget, no matter how many years have passed. You only learn to let the beautiful side of love swallow you whole, or you continue to wallow in guilt and self blame.
There's the ugly love, and there's the beautiful love. And even when we're drowning in that ugly love, we can only save ourselves by deciding to make use of our life buoy.
This is a solid 5/5 for me. I love the fast paced romance, the pains, the joys, the fears, the ugly love, and the much more beautiful love.
